Kat is what you could call a renaissance woman (sans the math). She is a writer, a reader, an artist, a dreamer, an inquisitor, and an adventurer. She drinks tea and coffee in equal amounts, loves the rain, books, and her small black cat, affectionally called Void Son, but who’s real name is Mando (short for Manda’lor).
This is her blog, a place for her to share some of her smaller pieces of writing.
The premise of this lovely little blog is thus: tales and short stories, written, edited, and posted in two hours, give or take a few minutes, days or months. They’re imperfect, but intentionally so. They’re exercises in brevity, warm-ups, finger-yoga, and above all else, damn fun to write.
Many of these posts are part of a non-linear series called Hero/Villain, wherein our Hero and our Villain get up to one shenanigan or another. These are experiments in character dynamic, dialogue, and overall *vibes*. Kat is passively considering compiling them in a sort of self-published anthology in the near future.
Dish and Spoon, and more recently The Cursed Prince are forays into a truer serial format. The Cursed Prince is her current brain child, and will be for at least the next few months, but Kat has another project or two on the front burners that may or may not make an appearance here in short order.
So. Welcome.
And Happy Reading, Darling Readers.
